COVID-19 Information and Update for Student Workshops :

When lockdown started in March, the FUN HCCA project was put in dormant and our small team have recently returned to work in August and are prepared to resume our Student Workshops and Teacher Training Workshops.

During such times, we are able to consider running our Student Workshops at schools located in outskirts London and within ONLY. With everyone’s safety being our priority, we will abide with the guidelines set by your school and the government.

If you are interested to invite us to arrange a face-to-face student workshop, feel free to drop us an email with your application form and our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

The FUN HCCA Team has visited hundreds of schools across the UK since 2015, with the core aim of demonstrating the variety and accessibility of Chinese cuisine while encouraging them to cook their own dishes. We strive to make our school workshops relevant for all GCSE exam boards by hitting on key points such as presentation, higher level knife skills, food provenance and curating a balanced meal. We are also able to adapt the course towards younger students and SEN pupils. A visit from the FUN HCCA Team involves: 1) An informative presentation on Chinese food culture and cuisine; 2) A step-by-step demonstration from a trainer on the preparation and cooking of a chosen popular Chinese dish;3) A practical students assisted by FUN HCCA Team, which can include a mini-competition to encourage students to practice presentation and garnishing.
